Notre Dame's Office of Undergraduate Education advises, supports, and scaffolds the undergraduate experience and coordinates, convenes, and develops University-wide academic programs and policies.

The Office of Undergraduate Education consists of three focal areas:

  • the curricular initiatives that steward the curriculum and programs that liaise with the faculty and impact all undergraduates (Office of Academic Standards, Core Curriculum, Moreau Program)
  • the Center for Academic Transformation and Excellence (CATE), which houses all academic support programs and services for undergraduate students that are administered by Undergraduate Education
  • the Operations, Policy, and Strategy Team (OPS Team), which provides a broad array of support and guidance for all of Undergraduate Education, the Office of the Provost, and campus partners to ensure that the mission of undergraduate education at Notre Dame is advanced in an impactful, sustainable, and strategic manner

Mission Statement

The Office of Undergraduate Education guides all undergraduate students to develop their God-given potential as they ascend the mountain of knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. We foster a vision for the University of a holistic, Catholic undergraduate education. By nurturing a collaborative environment, we accompany Notre Dame students on their educational journey and steward the resources, curricula, programs, systems, and policies that support and sustain integrated learning that is both personally enriching and socially transformative.
