Learning Resource Center services are open to all undergraduate students, and the LRC provides primarily first-year undergraduate students with the academic help they need to transition successfully into the University.

All of these resources are free for students. The only cost is your time and commitment!

The LRC's portfolio includes resources to help students think about their study habits and academic tutoring to support students in specific courses - predominantly first-year courses. Tutoring should be part of a student's layered strategy for academic success. LRC services and attendance policies are summarized at the bottom of this page.

LRC course tutoring appointment options are summarized below. The drop-in sessions referenced here are provided by both the LRC and a number of academic departments.

Enrollment and Attendance Policies (not applicable to Drop-in Help Sessions)

  • Registration is required. Please register for an LRC tutoring appointment by clicking a session registration link above or by clicking here! The same link is used to cancel appointments.
  • Students can register for tutoring appointments from 1-21 days in advance. It is not possible to register for same-day appointments.
  • Attendance is expected. If needed, access your account to cancel an appointment up to 2 hours before the start of a scheduled session or email the LRC at lrc@nd.edu before your appointment for an excused absence. Please remember that late appointment cancellations deprive another student from being able to take advantage of a tutor's availability.
  • Three unexcused absences result in deactivation of a student's LRC account. To reactivate their LRC software account, students should email the Learning Resource Center at lrc@nd.edu.
